In recent years, however, during a certain season in cities where this custom no longer thrives, there are reports of demons dressed in curious attire parading through the streets as if they own them, reveling all night long and causing general chaos. It is said that people in the regions that still practice the old customs are now called upon to head to the cities and scare the demons back into hiding.
