A monster that looks like an octopus, with a spaced-out gaze and an oddly comical dialect that's like human speech with a dash of the eccentric. If you think that makes him a bit of a joke, well, you'd be right—but it would be a mistake to take him too lightly. When pushed into a pinch, which happens more often than not, he begs for help from a two-faced monster he calls "Mr. Typhon." This ferocious creature once indulged in frequent destructive rampages, but seems to have calmed down since teaming up with Ultros. In this one, very convoluted sense, Ultros is actually a boon to society. Add that famous waggish wit, and you could almost say Ultros is "sort of loveable." Almost.
