In a vast desert wasteland created from the ruins of an ancient kingdom, strange monsters with the appearance of cacti began to appear. Small and nimble, they made for difficult foes to bring down, yet despite this, the people did not particularly fear them. And so it was, until an enormous sandstorm struck a small town at the edge of the desert. Just as the winds and dust clouds were about to engulf the townspeople, the Jumbo Cactuar emerged from the raging sands. It is believed that the Jumbo Cactuar survived for many years, growing to gargantuan proportions—with a body the size of a small mountain and incredible strength, it struck fear into the hearts of the desert's residents. It is rumored amongst the people that the grudge held by those who once lived in the destroyed kingdom amalgamated within the gigantic cactuar, eventually transforming it.
