At last, the tale of revenge against the planet comes to an end. As Cloud holds the dying Kadaj in his arms, the silver-haired man begins to fade away. Manipulated by both Sephiroth and his "mother" Jenova, Kadaj─aided by the other Remnants─committed the most heinous acts of violence. Cloud, however, cannot help but sympathize with this man. After all, he too had been led astray by Sephiroth. And so Cloud, having saved the planet once more, quietly bids farewell to his "brother," who returns to the lifestream.
