A stuffed toy cat given to Alaya by the acolyte witch Rivelka, which she lovingly named "Meowitzer" and treasured deeply. In the mid of night, many moons later, it began to move—as a wandering soul had fallen in love with Alaya at first sight and chose to reside within the stuffed toy. The soul belongs to a lone merchant once known as "Kuyze." He always set lofty goals for himself and worked to his limits to see them through, but when he applied these same standards to others, they began to distance themselves from him. In the end, the woman who loved him passed after collapsing from physical exhaustion, and no one remained by his side. At the age of 45, he finally came to realize that he had only cared about himself and never about the feelings of others, but it was too late. His soul is that of a sorrowful man who took his own life, lamenting the loss of everything he once had.
