He visited a number of shoemakers and selected the most highly skilled of them to craft a special pair of armored boots just for Gryfford. The next time Gryfford set off into town to pick up another set of cheap boots, Jayden waylaid him and gave him this pair instead. He bid Gryfford to wear them in battle without worrying about damaging them, promising him that they would withstand the roughest of use. Of course, Gryfford accepted gratefully. He has worn them ever since, even though they are so heavy that most men could barely walk in them.
