A shield favored by the Veritas of the Earth. Forged using special crafting techniques and refined metals, this shield is unsurprisingly solid but heavy beyond belief. Upon its creation, many thought it to be too impractical for a human to wield, but were left speechless when the Veritas of the Earth and his seemingly limitless reserves of stamina wielded it with the greatest of ease. With the way the Earthlord used this shield to trample the armies that faced him, many described it as if the shield sewed destruction by a will of its own. This resulted in more than few of the hapless souls who witnessed this on the battlefield firsthand to truly become convinced of the shield's sentience. Incidentally, due to the advanced nature of the magitek used to make Veritas equipment, some researchers do not view the idea of a sentient shield as a particularly grave departure from the realm of possibility.
